A vision to keep us walking

This week in Kuala lumpur was an adventurous one. I got scolded by the taxi for giving a non-existent google map road intersection instead of the landmark. I gave my aunty doubled for her medical because i mistook the currency. Lastly, my wallet fell out spilling all my money and bank cards on to the floor. Surely, God is telling me something.

We are called to be stewards of what God has blessed us, our walk with Jesus, our finances and our body. But without a vision everyday, we will walk astray,

Prov 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The bible says that without a vision, the people perish. It is not that they don’t make the road by walking, but Israel had walked towards the other gods of the neighbouring countries. The law is founded in loving God, not in some mysterious way but chosing to worship the God of Israel over other gods, which are actual spiritual deities. The vision is a tall tower that keeps our eyes focused. Jesus the way represents that tall tower, the stairway to heaven.

  1. The vision is a sheep resting beside still waters and green pastures, to be connected to God the Father in heaven focusing on the Cross which links the earth and heaven above. If Jesus had died without being at that accursed place where He became my sin, my sins may not have been forgiven. When i see Jesus, He became my sin crucified at the Cross. I am not only forgiven, but gained that eternal life and connection and communion with Father God. Just as i had visited my relatives, we are called to be still at Jesus’ feet.
  2. The second vision is having a boat full of fishes in the boat and having breakfast with Jesus like Peter. My writings in blog psa91.com started because i felt so strongly that God was speaking to me. I had spent a decade to debate with pastors in the forum to reflect God’s grace on gays. God has rewarded me some savings but money could be so easily lost, the wallet spilling out all the money in a moment of folly. We are called to be good stewards, to live simply and to walk humbly and within our means treasuring God’s grace of provision and never need to work again.
  3. The third vision is of the lilies in the field whose beauty never diminishes. Abraham’s Sarah was so beautiful that the king of Egypt was attracted to her even in her 80s. I am no longer the young man i used to be. It is time to be thankful for my life, to work less, to see myself in the mirror more and to take the necessary supplements and to eat well and much less. It is to be a steward of the body, God has given me. May we never grow old.
  4. The fourth vision is a shofar in the desert beside living waters and a rainbow cloud. It is time to rebuild the web sites and the blog as a ministry of God’s rainbow to the gay community as a stand against the Christian Right. It is time to rebuild relationships and christian fellowship. We are not called to be mega churches, or to be liberals simply because we are gays. We are called to be Christ centered Christians. Jesus said, that when two or more are gathered in my name, I am there for when we gather in the name of Jesus even with a minimum of numbers, th church size doesn’t manner anymore as long as Jesus is the centre and not our humanistic theology.

The way of Grace is to rest in God’s open doors and provisions. It is not to strive, worry or fear, but to trust and obey for there is no other way. It is to run with the vision that God has put within our hearts. It is to be highly blessed and greatly favored in God’s eyes.

Gay marriage is knocking at the door of Asia. Just as the charismatic revival came from the West Coast of the US, Gay marriage is coming soon. There will be a challenge and a battle and increasing rethoric against gay people. The vision is to stand firm and strong to emphasise God’s love for Gay people.

At CHC last time, in olden days, we always like to sing this song. Let us run towards our God ordained purpose for His glory not by might by by His Spirit.

I WILL RUN TO YOU (Hill Songs)

Your eye is on the sparrow
And Your hand, it comforts me
From the ends of the Earth to the depth of my heart
Let Your mercy and strength be seen

You call me to Your purpose
As angels understand
For Your glory, may You draw all men
As Your love and grace demand

And I will run to You to Your words of truth
Not by might, not by power but by the spirit of God
Yes I will run the race till I see Your face
Oh let me live in the glory of Your grace
