On 06 Oct 14, the decision or a lack of decision by the Supreme Court in the US not to hear the appeals against the gay marriage ban has opened up a flood of gay marriage in the US.

The fall in the walls of Jericho, the last stronghold of appeal for the anti-gay opponents was unexpected.

Within one day gay marriage was legal in an additional 5 states from 19 states with the rulling or the lack of ruling possibly extending gay marriage to 35 states within a month out of a total of 50 states.

What was the main issue against gay marriage? it was basic civil rights that won the case but it was much more. It was injustice perpetrated in the name of Christianity, ie in the name of Jesus Christ. It was blasphemy against the name of God when we use faith as the reason to cause harm and put people in jail. We are supposed to be liberators and not the moral army of hypocrites and hidden sinners with white washed tombs.

However the large majority of evangelical and charismatic Christians (over 70%) still view homosexuality and gay marriage as an abomination even though in context abomination always refers to faith worship of other gods in the bible. It appears that all the pagan worship and practices are personified in the gay community for Christians.

The association with abomination goes back to first century roman times where the popular worship of Cybel involved the priests castrating himself to become a woman with the worshippers having anal sex with the priest to join themselves with the devil. It was people of faith having anal sex as a matter of religious faith. It had nothing to do with gays.

Why was there such an unreasonable fear against gay marriage as if the end of the world would come in a slippery slope!

Jude 1:5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

To be fair to Christians, the end of the world did come in Noah's time because of sex. It was not gays, but the daughters of men having sex with demonic angels. The resulting strange flesh and beast was meant to corrupt the bloodline of mankind so that the Messiah could not come out of the seed of Adam and Eve. That was the real sin of Sodom and Gomorrah of strange flesh having sex with angels. They were people of faith, of demonic faith whose daughters had gone after angels.

Gen 6:4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

The result is still evident today as in some faiths where women are covered up. It has its roots in ancient times where they were seducing angels of darkness. It was a sin so serious because it takes away the image of God in mankind that the flood and the end of the world came.

The women in the religious faiths need not be covered up, because the angels who caused the flood are now trapped in chains waiting for the last day of judgment. They were sent to the pits of hell when the flood occured as never to be able to cause the damage they did.

However, the practise of the daughters of men having sex with angels continued after the flood in a limited fashion in Sodom and Gomorrah where God sent the angels to destroy in order to prevent harm to the rest of the nations. It was God's grace to the nations to destroy the cities.

Finally, what did Jesus do when He died! He first went down to hell to preach to the spirits!

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 

The spirits were the angels who were kept in prison from the days of Noah. Jesus was declaring to them that their mission to stop the seed of Adam and Eve from defeating Satan had failed. Jesus was proclaiming the powers in hell that salvation has come.  Their mission had failed. The seed of Adam and Eve has defeated Satan and taken the keys of death from the devil. Death is not the end. There is salvation by faith in Jesus Christ.

The walls of Jericho has broken. The captives are free from the religious faith bondage and jails that Christians have put them in.

But the backlash for the injustice committed in the name of Jesus is coming. It is that our voices are no longer heard in the market place. Just as the seed of man was corrupted by angels having sex with the daughters of men, so too the Gospel message and the bible have been corrupted and undermined when we used it against gays.

Europe the birthplace of Protestant movement has become post Christian due to the worship of the church hierachal, and the impact of 100 years of higher criticism dishing the bible at its theological seminaries. The US is on the path of becoming post christian. The liberal churches are at an end. The evangelical churches are not growing. The Gospel message of the charismatics who led the anti-gay crusade is compromised by their bible bashing of gays.

Behold Jesus is coming back. The year of Jubilee is coming. He is releasing the captives free that they may return to Jesus because true faith is founded on Jesus being the way, the truth and the life to God and not through obeying religious laws outwardly.

The walls of Jericho have fallen. May God's grace, mercy and love extend to the last tribe on earth.
