Father God to His gay children

Roman 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Acts 17: 23 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

Acts 17: 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

God the Father is not against the GLBT community nor is homosexuality any more a sin than heterosexuality. God is for us, and wants to welcome us back home. He wants to be known, and be in relationship with us. For too long, religious people have sown an animosity between GLBT peoples and Father God.  The Holy Spirit of God is moving across the surface of the earth, to bring justice, to bring the children of God back Home.

The strong man must first be bound, even the church itself. The evangelical Southern Baptist Church is falling, at a troubling rate of 0.7 percent to 15.9 million members in 2012. Essentially the church returned to its year 2000 levels. In comparison, the Episcopal church membership at 2.06 million in 2012 had dropped a frightening 24% in the last 10 years. The SBC is preaching an anti-gay gospel whilst the Episcopal church preaches a social Gospel with a heaven on earth but with no eternal salvation to come. When we do not move by the Spirit of God, it is very hard work.

God wants to be known, and have made Himself known in Christ Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. We are to make God known to the GLBT community, in Christ Jesus who is fullness of the Godhead.

For some Christians, God is unknown, a mystery according to their minds. They have attempted to know God through their own natural human intellect. Like the Athenians they have rejected the revelation of Jesus Christ for all men to repent. Without accepting the revelation from the bible of Christ finished works, God is an unknown mystery. We go back to the dark ages where men worshipped the church and themselves instead of Christ, and believed that earth was flat.

Without Jesus Christ, God is God almighty far above and distant. This was where many of us were, separated from the Kingdom of God. When we accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, He is our righteousness and we a child of God. The penalty for our sins was paid in full, and we could now enter into relationship with God, into God’s throne room. We are now family.

The communion with God at the Garden of Eden is returned in Christ Jesus. God is no longer distant and unknown, but very close, and a friend indeed. Only friends know each other and not strangers. He calls us, to call Him Abba Father, for He loves us and wants to commune with us. Jesus knocks at the door today, at our hearts, for He seeks to come it to live our lives together with us.

The greatest tragedy of the anti-gay movement is that it takes away the communion of God with His GLBT children. It puts in this journey a stumbling stone of an alleged sin which is one’s own sexual orientation.  This imaginary stumbling stone is a false witness of religious people who could only blame others for their own sins. The only sin is unbelief in Jesus Christ, as Lord and Saviour.

There is a call from God, to lead GLBT people into the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ. Once they are saved, God is not only God, but as a Father. We are to come to God with a sense that we are loved. God wants to hear our voices, to be in communion with His Gay children. God has sent us the Holy Spirit to be our comforter and advocate, to be with us as He knows we will often fall.

For many Gays, we have lost too much, and religious people of faith have stolen our lives from us. We are not interested in religion or spirituality, but in the redemptive power of Jesus. Jesus is the Lord of time, space, motion, force, and matter. His grace will be multiplied in us and all that we have lost, even our family on earth, He will restore again. We are complete the moment we are saved, all that was needed for victory by resting in the Abba hands of God in the finished work of the Cross.
