Mat 19:3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him,
and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife
for just any reason?”
Mat 19: 8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the
hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from
the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his
wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits
adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”
In Singapore, there is a "wear white" campaign by
religious faiths including Pastor Khong of Love Singapore coming against
the GLBT Pink Dot event. Religious faiths are getting more radicalised
and insisting on their own special rights whilst denying the basic
rights of others.
Quickly leveraging on one extremist muslim teacher who
begin a "wear white" campaign, the Christian mega church group, Love
Singapore also followed suit to wear white. Are they being more
ecumenical?
Why are the people of faith in white so against gays?
because in the bible their greatest sin was adultery. That was why many
wives was allowed in the bible.
In our religious zeal, we would not mind being
unequally yoke with non Christian believers. What is there in common?
for in our modern day Christianity we have insisted on marriage between
one man and one woman whilst family in the bible is complex with Solomon
having many wives. Even Abraham and David had a concubine/ or mistress.
For the bible emphasis is whom we worship, the God of
israel, and not who we sleep in bed with. As Christians we worship Jesus
and should not be unequally yoked. Aligning with another faith to come
against the weak is not of God, and is not of Love.
Are we centred on Christ, or are we centered on
religious laws becoming no different than other faiths?
When we wear white, we are promoting ourselves as
being righteous and Holy apart from Jesus Christ. Do our many daily
prayers and pennance make us holy and spiritual? We are still sinners.
Under Moses, the Pharisees found exception for themselves to get a
divorce ie to sin legally whilst for others, they added more laws. That
is hypocrisy and what the church is doing against the gay communtity -
adding laws against gays which we were not there.
It is the straight community who sinned against the
Family with thousands of divorces, and abortions each year, and a red
light district in Geylang that covers an entire city. But we don't see
our own sins do we? we only see the Pink Dots.
We wear white on the outside, but inside we can never
be clean because we are sinners by nature. Sinners do one thing very
well. They sin. Once we sin, we are under condemnation and judgement
from God. We need Jesus. He is our righteousness, our justification.
We can't be forgiven whether we wear white on the
outside or persecute those whom we deemed the worst of sinners. When we
follow Saul of Tarsus we may end up killing the innocent and coming
against the grace of God. It reflects a self righteousness apart from
sanctification through Jesus Christ.
We wear white but we are not clean. The Gay community
wear pink reflective of their nature of who they are. It is natural for
them, their same sex orientation.
What do we bring to the Communion Table today?
Some say we bring bread and wine made by many. But
really, we don't bring anything. We bring only ourselves for we have
nothing to offer.
When we say that we bring bread and wine, surely we
can't be bringing our own body or blood, for it is carnal and not
accepted by God. We will end continually asking for forgiveness for our
sins rather than accepting by faith that we are forgiven at the Cross of
Calvary.
Yes we have sinned, especially those who pray and seek
pennance often. For we have failed to love, to love the weak, the sick,
the poor, the outcasts. We love only ourselves.
Jesus was particularly agnst at those learned of
scriptures who wore white. It was not because they had failed to love,
but because they did not see their own frailty. Instead of humility,
they were hypocrites giving others the heavy yoke of the law whilsts
being the worst sinners themselves openly divorcing their wives and
having sex out of marriage. Jesus sees the people of faith in their
white robes as are far worst than the prostitutes.
We have at the Communion table, bread and wine, the
feast setup by Jesus. We don't need to BYO to the table. God provides
the feast. We are to eat and drink and be merry, for we are partaking in
a new body being free from sin, and drinking a life blood that
continually cleanses the body when we do sin.
We wear white but are not clean. Gays wear Pink
because they are Pink within. Let us be true to ourselves. There is only
one person who can wear both White and Pink. He is Jesus Christ of
Nazareth. For He is totally righteous, and the pink speaks of His blood
shed for our sins.
HILL SONGS, WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE IN ME
Let the weak say,
"I am strong" Let the poor say,
"I am rich" Let the blind say, "I can see"
It's what the Lord has done in me
Hosanna,
hosanna To the Lamb that was slain
Hosanna, hosanna Jesus died and rose again
To the river I will wade
There my sins are washed away
From the heavens' mercy streams
Of the Savior's love for me
I will rise from waters deep
Into the saving arms of God
I will sing salvation songs
Jesus Christ has set me free
