June 1, 2009. The late term abortionist Dr. George Tiller was shot to death at the foyer of the Reformation Lutheran Church where he was an ursher. The term late term abortion refers to the termination of pregnancies of women and girls who were in the 22nd week of gestation or beyond where the foetus is considered by many as a viable human being. A Scott Roeder has been arrested near Kansas City for the alleged murder. Dr Tiller's infamous quote was that "The woman is the patient and the fetus is the problem".

In the midst of the condemnation for the killing which is never a solution, conservative groups such as "Operation Rescue" was quick to give a background on Dr. Tiller through its "Tiller Report II", whilst the more liberal groups have condemned it as a cold blooded murder which it was.

Both parties missed or ignored the irony, that the event took place in a Christian Church and Dr. Tiller was a Christian and a regular church member serving there. Whilst the Christian activist are busy condemning gays for what is a private matter causing no harm to anyone, but on the contrary is a reflection of love against all odds, the church has quietly condoned its members taking part in abortions which they themselves consider as a destruction of a life.

There is a great element of hypocrisy in the stance of the church spending millions against gays and gay marriages, condemning them as the worst sinners and a threat to the family, but not taking into tasks Christians performing abortions or those having abortions. It goes to the heart of the argument that the anti-gay position repackaged as pro-family is a red herring to hide the thousands of divorces and abortions done by straight people. The church is hiding its skeletons whilsts proclaiming its morality and holiness as compared to the alleged "immoral lifestlyes" of gays. It is a front, a white wash tomb, Jesus so apty referred to the Pharisees which were the religious conservatives of those days.

Do we then have a conservative society with a conservative world view in Singapore which has meant that homosexuality could not be decriminalised and gays given a small space and corner of tanjung pagar? whilsts their nominated NMP fears that giving them any more rights will result in Singapore crossing the line ordained by God?

The biblical line by God was set when the nation of Israel begin to worship idols and they did sacrificed babies to the gods as part of their religious worship. In modern day Singapore, our heterosexual lifestyle has sacrificed to our idol of self and self righteouness proclaiming ourselves holy and family orientated whilsts having thousands of abortions and divorces each year. We blamed gays for all the sins of our straight lifestyles. It is not good to sin repetitively making God's grace cheap, but this is made worst by our lack of repentance and sacrificng gays on the altar of our "religious conservatism".

The book of letivius is often used to persecute gays. However, when we read the clober verses condeming homosexual sex, we conveniently forget that the same passage refers to the sacrificing of babies. Both, are related as we see in Solomon, because they refer to straight people worshiping the gods Ashtoreth and Molech where the very apex of their religious practices beyond the normal mass herosexual orgies were having sex with each other, and sacrificing their own babies. Therefore, Lev 18:21 condemns the baby sacrifices followed by Lev 18:22, sex between men. It should be noted that having mass sexual orgies with woman was not condemned as the woman were objects of ownership and do not have rights. It is therefore no coincidence that the "conservative" faiths do not make a big issue of Geylang whilst having a "moral" crusade against gays.

Yes, there is a line that Singapore should not cross! It is the majority crossing the line of grace ordained by God by persecuting the weak, the minority and the despised and conveiniently blaiming them for all our lawlesness in the name of conservative family values. When we blame Gays, we too are judged by the manner we have judged by the law of God instead of living by God's grace. At the end there will be great shaking at the very door of the church which has happened literally in this case.

At the end, bringing the Christian religion to a secular space will severely undermined it and distort its message of God's love and forgiveness through Christ Jesus.
