The word of God to Peter, the head of the church then in Jerusalem, to the heads of Churches in Singapore today, remained then as today:-

(Acts 10:13-15 NKJV) And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common."

The Holy Spirit went out of the way to send the disciples to the gentiles and then to half Jews. God is tearing down walls. We will come to a stage when what we deemed as "unclean", God has made clean and we today are instructed to accept Gays as clean vessels in Christ Jesus. Do you call Gentile Singaporeans unclean, do you call Samarians Singaporean unclean - yes you can by the Law of Moses, but we lived today by God's grace and Mercy. Let us not call dirty and despise what Christ has made clean. Salvation is for all, not only for Jews, but for the Gentiles and for Gays. Let us Praise the Lord. We not only exclude Gays (unless they "turn" straight) but put them in prisons. The Gay issue is a very small non essential issue and impacts such a small minority of the population yet Christians keep bringing it up as the greatest challenge ever. Why? because God is challenging our overall theology and He is purifying us and putting His House in order. Let us take heed of the gentle instruction of the Holy Spirit before we are forced to from forces outside of the church which will have no mercy just as we have given "no mercy" to gays.

(Luke 9:52-56 NKJV) and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" But He turned and rebuked them, and said, "You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." And they went to another village.

The disciples James and John wanted to destroy Samaria and Jesus rebuked them questioning what kind of a spirit that have led them to call for destruction. For it was certainly not the Spirit of Jesus - who came not to destroy but to save man's life. And today after 2000 years, Christians have not changed much. Today, what kind of a spirit that you display when you call for Gays to be imprisoned? the Spirit of Christ - defintely not - then it may be the spirit of the anti-Christ. Just as Jesus asked the disciples, the question today to the National Council of Churches, to the Rev Derek Hong, to the Bishop Robert Solomon, to Archbishop John Chew, to the Rev Kong Hee, to Rev Yang Tuck Yoong is

"You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them."
